Frequently Asked Questions
How Can We Help?
Common questions about China Study Link applications, documents, timelines, and support from student guides.
Getting Started
Browse English-taught programs and Chinese language courses on China Study Link. When you find a fit, create an account and start an application from the program page. A student guide reviews your file and walks you through the remaining steps.
Guides who have studied or are studying in China help with applications and practical questions about campus life, housing, and settling in. Catalog pages show published program and fee details; counselors confirm fees before you pay.
We focus on English-taught degree programs for international students, plus Chinese language (HSK-oriented) courses. Degree programs taught only in Chinese are generally outside this catalog.
Application Process
Most files need transcripts, passport ID pages, a personal statement, and language scores when the program requires them. Recommendation letters and medical forms depend on the university. Your application checklist lists what that program asks for.
Preparing and submitting a complete file with us often takes a few weeks once documents are ready. University review and offer timelines are set by each school and can take much longer — we track status in your dashboard but do not control admissions speed.
Yes. You can open multiple applications and track each one from your dashboard. Guides can help you prioritize programs and keep document sets organized per school.
Support & Guidance
Guides share firsthand experience with applications and student life in China — cities, housing, and day-to-day campus questions. Message them from your dashboard; response times follow China Standard Time office hours.
The eligibility analyzer compares your academic profile (degree, grades, language) to published program requirements. It shows Eligible / Not eligible / Incomplete profile — not a prediction of admission. Passport, medical, and visa paperwork are application readiness (how complete your file is), not course qualification.
Open Applications in your dashboard for live status. High-stakes changes can also appear under Updates and by email if you leave alerts on. Guides can explain what a status means for your next step.
After Application
Admissions decisions belong to the university. If you are rejected, a guide can help review feedback when it is available and suggest other programs in the catalog that may fit your profile better.
Yes. Guides who are in China can help with registration, housing questions, and navigating university systems after you arrive. Reach them through dashboard chat or the Contact page.
Use the Contact page, email [email protected], or message your guide from the dashboard chat. For an active application, in-app Messages is usually the fastest path.
