This is a three-year English-taught PhD programme in Ecology. Candidates develop and execute independent ecological research projects under faculty guidance at Northwest University in Xi'an.

A three-year English-taught PhD in Occupational and Environmental Health at Xi’an Jiaotong University, centred on independent research into health risks arising from workplace and environmental exposures, with academic supervision.

A three-year English-taught PhD in Physical Geography, centred on environmental processes, landscape dynamics, and spatial analysis, with opportunities for fieldwork and applied geographical research.
