Westlake University's Bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering explores how structure, properties, and function relate in new materials and systems. Students connect materials knowledge with robotics, mechanical systems, and advanced manufacturing for uses in electronics, energy, sustainability, healthcare, and public health. Sample topics include soft matter, crystallography, biomaterials, additive manufacturing, and materials for renewable energy.
The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Westlake University is a four-year programme taught in English. Zhejiang University of Science and Technology’s Chinese Language Program in Hangzhou gives international students a non-degree Mandarin pathway on a scenic Xiaoheshan campus near West Lake. Study focuses on practical language skills for daily life and further academic options in China.

This Hangzhou-based non-degree track at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology pairs beginner Chinese with an introduction to robotics. Learners take 22 sessions each week—18 in comprehensive Chinese, listening and speaking, and reading, plus four in robotics theory and hands-on practice. The Chinese strand is aimed at absolute beginners and is not suited to students who already speak Mandarin. Published dates run across two terms (October 2026–January 2027 and March–June 2027).
ZUFE’s Elementary Chinese Language Program builds foundational Mandarin over one to two years in Hangzhou. Students train speaking, listening, reading, and writing with cultural activities that support classroom learning. It is aimed at beginners who want a structured start to Chinese.

Westlake University’s International Undergraduate Summer School is a two-week English-taught gathering in Hangzhou for high-achieving students interested in advanced life-science research and innovation. Activities combine academic sessions with opportunities to learn from Westlake researchers and peers from around the world.
Zhejiang Gongshang University’s Long Term Chinese Language and Culture Program in Hangzhou combines Mandarin study with cultural learning over one to two semesters. Practical language skills and heritage insights are taught together for international students. Outcomes support education, tourism, business, and related fields.
