Wuhan University admits international language students for non-degree Mandarin study of up to two years, with a completion certificate when requirements are met (or a transcript if not). The short-term intensive pathway emphasises listening and speaking, adds social practice, and after about six months aims for roughly 500 characters and familiarity with around 30 daily communication scenarios. A pre-test places learners from absolute beginner upward.

China University of Geosciences in Wuhan runs a two-semester Chinese Language Program in small classes covering pronunciation, vocabulary, and communication. Optional culture and history modules plus activities such as calligraphy and tea art deepen cultural literacy. Free HSK pre-exam training is included to support proficiency goals.

Central China Normal University’s Chinese Language Program offers about one to two semesters of Mandarin training. International students study in Wuhan on a teacher-education campus with long-standing language programmes.
