Fudan’s International Summer Session is a roughly four-week English programme mixing academic courses—such as development economics, international trade, and Chinese media—with cultural experiences like traditional medicine and Kung Fu. Students study alongside peers from many countries in Shanghai.

Fudan’s long-term Chinese Language Program runs for one to two semesters with a focus on practical communication and cultural understanding in Shanghai. Language study is paired with engagement in Chinese society and campus life.

Xiamen University’s long-term Chinese programme serves all levels with small classes, core language courses, and electives such as HSK tutorials and cultural classes. One to two semesters of study strengthen listening, speaking, reading, and writing for academic and everyday use.

Zhengzhou University’s Long-term Chinese Language Training serves beginners through advanced learners in small classes over one to two semesters. Teaching uses the Development of Chinese textbook series with attention to practical communication, reading, and writing. Culture content supports language study on a large comprehensive campus.

Soochow University’s long-term Chinese-learning Program runs Monday–Friday with 16–20 hours of compulsory classes weekly plus optional courses for all proficiency levels. Students who meet requirements receive a course-completion certificate after one to two semesters in Suzhou.

Tongji’s Senior Visiting Students pathway lets graduate-level visitors pursue advanced non-degree study across doctoral majors for about one semester. Successful completion leads to a certificate of advanced study in an English-accessible visiting format.

OUC’s Short-term Chinese Language Program packs Mandarin immersion into four weeks in Qingdao. Learners strengthen core language skills in a coastal university environment. The short stay suits holiday or between-term study plans.

ECNU’s Standard Chinese Language Program balances listening, speaking, reading, and writing across one to two semesters. Practical communication is the priority for students preparing for further study or professional use of Mandarin in Shanghai.

SJTU’s four-week summer Chinese course places learners in interactive classes of up to 25 students at a similar level. Language fundamentals and cultural insight are taught together so you leave with stronger practical Mandarin.
