Beihang University Foreign Students Scholarship

Beihang University’s Self-Supported Foreign Students Scholarship is jointly funded by the Beijing Municipal Government and Beihang University. It supports self-supported international scholars, undergraduates, master’s, and doctoral candidates with tuition waivers (100%, 50%, or 20%) and, for the Special Prize, living expense support aligned with CSC standards.

Overview

The scholarship is jointly funded by the Beijing Municipal Government and Beihang University to encourage hard work and innovation among self-supported foreign students. Selection follows principles of fairness, openness, and merit.

Coverage

Awards include Special, First, Second, and Third Prizes. First Prize waives 100% of tuition; Second Prize waives 50%; Third Prize waives 20%. The Special Prize waives 100% of tuition and may include living expense support aligned with China Scholarship Council (CSC) standards. Certificates are issued by Beihang University’s International School.

Eligibility

Applicants must be self-supported foreign scholars, undergraduates, master’s, or doctoral candidates enrolled at Beihang University. New undergraduates must have excellent senior high school and entrance exam results and no other organisational support. New graduates/scholars must have graduated from leading universities with excellent results or research achievements, strong entrance results and potential, and no other organisational support. Current students must generally be enrolled for at least one year, have excellent academic performance in the most recent academic year, actively participate in public-benefit activities, and (for graduates) may qualify via SCI/SSCI/EI/ISTP publications or major research achievements. Applicants are ineligible if they violate laws or university rules, have frequent unexcused absences, or fail a compulsory course.

Application

New-student applications are accepted from 20 March to 20 May; current-student applications from 10 to 25 May. Materials must be submitted to the Foreign Student Affairs Office. Results are notified by letter and posted on the International School website in July.

Current students must submit prior-year transcripts and a recommendation from their department head or teacher (undergraduates), or all-course transcripts, thesis/publication proof, and supervisor recommendation (graduates).
