BUAA Scholarships for Foreign Students

The BUAA Scholarship for Foreign Students is jointly established by the Beijing Municipal Government and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to support self-funded international students. Overview

The BUAA Scholarship for Foreign Students is a merit-based award established by the Beijing Municipal Government and Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics for self-funded international students. It supports undergraduates, master's, and doctoral students studying at BUAA.

Coverage/Benefits

The scholarship offers tuition exemptions and living allowances. The special prize covers 100% of tuition plus part or all of living expenses, aligned with the Chinese Government Scholarship standard. First, second, and third prizes exempt 100%, 50%, and 20% of tuition respectively. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year.

Eligibility

Applicants must be self-funded international students enrolled in undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs at BUAA. They must abide by Chinese laws and BUAA regulations, maintain strong academic performance, and not receive funding from other institutions. Students with disciplinary violations, course failures, or unexcused absences are ineligible.

Application

New students apply between 20 March and 20 May; continuing students apply between 10 and 25 May each year. Applications are submitted to the International Students Affairs Office of Beihang International College.

Documents

Applicants must submit the completed 'Application Form for Scholarship for Privately-funded International Students', academic transcripts, and recommendation letters. Undergraduates provide prior-year transcripts and faculty or class teacher recommendations; postgraduates submit all course transcripts, thesis/dissertation certificates, award certificates, and supervisor recommendations.
