Changchun University offers the 'Silk Road' Presidential Scholarship to attract outstanding international students from Belt and Road countries, in alignment with China’s national Belt and Road Initiative.

Coverage/Benefits

The scholarship covers full tuition fees, accommodation fees, and provides a living allowance of 1,300 RMB per month for master’s students. Airfare, health insurance, and settlement allowance are not covered.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens from Belt and Road countries, in good health, and love China. Bachelor’s and master’s applicants must meet HSK level 5 requirements. Master’s applicants must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or average score of 85 or above, and must not hold other scholarships concurrently.

Application

Applications are accepted annually from June 1 to July 31. Applicants must submit the scholarship application form and supporting materials to the College of International Education.

Documents

Required documents include the application form, proof of undergraduate graduation (or enrolment certificate), transcripts, study and research plan, two recommendation letters, HSK Level 5 transcript, health certificate, no-criminal-record certificate, and passport copy.
