The Nanjing Government Scholarship is established by the Nanjing Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province to support outstanding foreign students studying and conducting scientific research in Nanjing. China Pharmaceutical University recruits scholarship recipients from various countries.
Coverage/Benefits
Undergraduate students receive 10,000 RMB per academic year. Master’s and doctoral students receive 20,000 RMB per academic year. Continuing students receive 5,000 RMB for half a year. The scholarship does not cover tuition, accommodation, living allowance, health insurance, airfare, or settlement allowance.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health. Undergraduate applicants must be aged ≤25 years and hold a qualification equivalent to Chinese senior secondary school graduation. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be aged ≤35 years. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be aged ≤40 years. All applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic performance and research ability.

Applicants must apply online via http://admission.cpu.edu.cn/apply and submit required documents to the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation. The deadline is 15 June 2018.

Required documents include the completed Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship application form, the China Pharmaceutical University international student application form, a copy of the passport, notarized academic certificates and transcripts, language proficiency certificates (if applicable), a study or research proposal (≥800 words in Chinese or English), two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, copies of published academic papers (if applicable), and a valid Physical Examination Form for Foreigners.
