China University of Petroleum (Beijing) offers Chinese Government Scholarships through CSC-administered channels: Bilateral, Chinese University, Silk Road/Belt and Road, and SCO. The scholarships are funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education and cover tuition, accommodation support, and monthly stipends for undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, general, and senior scholars. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and meet CSC age and degree requirements.

Overview

China University of Petroleum (Beijing) is a designated university for Chinese Government Scholarship programs administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC). It accepts applications via the Bilateral, Chinese University, Silk Road/Belt and Road, and Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) scholarship channels.

Coverage

Full scholarship includes: tuition waiver; free on-campus dormitory or accommodation subsidy (CNY 700/month for undergraduates, master’s students, and general scholars; CNY 1,000/month for doctoral and senior scholars); monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for master’s and general scholars; CNY 3,500 for doctoral and senior scholars). Partial scholarships cover one or more of these components.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health. Age limits: under 25 for undergraduate, under 35 for master’s, under 40 for doctoral, under 45 for general scholar, and under 50 for senior scholar. Degree requirements follow CSC category rules.

Documents

Required documents include: completed CSC application form; notarised highest diploma; academic transcripts; study plan or research proposal; two recommendation letters (for graduate and senior scholar applicants); physical examination record (for stays over six months); optional pre-admission letter and HSK certificate; additional materials such as arts portfolio CDs or guardian documentation where applicable.
