Chongqing University China-AUN Scholarship
This is a university scholarship offered by Chongqing University for master’s and doctoral students from ASEAN countries. It covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens of ASEAN member states, in good health, and meet HSK 4 language requirements. Master’s applicants must be no more than 35 years old and hold a bachelor’s degree; doctoral applicants must be no older than 40 and hold a master’s degree.

Overview
The Chongqing University China-AUN Scholarship is administered through the ASEAN University Network (AUN) Secretariat and funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship program. It supports master’s and doctoral students from ASEAN countries for study at Chongqing University.
Coverage/Benefits
The scholarship covers tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance. Airfare and settlement allowance are not covered.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens of ASEAN member states, in good health. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be ≤35 years old; doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be ≤40 years old. All applicants must meet HSK 4 proficiency for Chinese-medium programs.
Application
Applications are submitted to the AUN Secretariat during the annual application period, generally from early January to early April. Applicants must obtain a pre-admission letter from Chongqing University and complete the online application via the Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System.
Documents
Required documents include the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form; notarised highest academic qualification certificate and transcripts; academic transcripts with notarised English or Chinese translations; study or research plan (≥800 words); two letters of recommendation; Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form; copy of pre-admission letter (if available); and HSK score report (if available). Materials must be bound in the specified order.
