Chongqing University China-EU Student Exchange Program
The China-EU Student Exchange Program is a full scholarship funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education for students from EU member states pursuing undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, or advanced study programs at Chongqing University. Overview
The China-EU Student Exchange Program is administered by the Education and Culture Section of the Chinese Mission to the European Union and funded by the Chinese Ministry of Education. It supports students from EU member states for degree and non-degree study at Chongqing University.
Coverage/Benefits
The scholarship covers tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance. Airfare and settlement allowance are not covered.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals of EU member states and in good health. Undergraduate applicants must be ≤25 years old and have completed high school; master’s applicants must be ≤35 and hold a bachelor’s degree; doctoral applicants must be ≤40 and hold a master’s degree. All applicants must meet HSK 4 proficiency for Chinese-medium programs.
Application
Applications are submitted to the Education and Culture Section of the Chinese Mission to the European Union during the annual application period, generally from early January to early April. Applicants must obtain a pre-admission letter from Chongqing University and complete the online application via the Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System.
Documents
Required documents include the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form; notarised highest academic qualification certificate and transcripts with English or Chinese translations; academic transcripts; study or research plan (200–800 words depending on level); two letters of recommendation (for master’s, doctoral, and advanced study applicants); Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form (for stays >6 months); pre-admission letter (if available); and HSK score report (if available). Two copies of all materials are required.
