Chongqing University Chinese Government Scholarship-AUN Program

Overview

The AUN Program is a full Chinese Government Scholarship established by China’s Ministry of Education for candidates from ASEAN member countries. At Chongqing University it supports master’s and doctoral students only. Programmes not taught in English are delivered in Chinese; applicants without HSK level 4 or above must complete a one-year Chinese language course, and the scholarship duration is extended accordingly.

Coverage

Full scholarship covering tuition waiver, on-campus accommodation, monthly stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance. Stipend amounts are determined by the AUN Secretariat and published annually.

Eligibility

Applicants must be citizens of an ASEAN member country, in good health, and recommended by the AUN Secretariat. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under age 35. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under age 40.

Application

Applications are accepted by the AUN Secretariat between early January and early April each year. Applicants must obtain a Pre-admission Letter from Chongqing University if recommended, complete the CSC online application at http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org, and submit all documents to the AUN Secretariat before the deadline. Direct applications to CSC are not accepted.

CSC Application Form; notarised highest diploma (or official proof of expected graduation); academic transcripts; study or research plan (minimum 800 words); two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors; photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form; copy of Chongqing University Pre-admission Letter if available; valid HSK certificate if available. Documents must be bound in this order and will not be returned.
