Chongqing University is a host institution for Confucius Institute Scholarships supporting outstanding students, scholars, and in-service Chinese-language teachers recommended by Confucius Institutes, Confucius Classrooms, or selected HSK test centres.
Program types
• MTCSOL: up to two academic years • BTCSOL: up to four academic years • Related Chinese language and humanities fields including Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), Chinese Language and Literature, History, and Philosophy — each with published HSK/HSKK minima.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health, with strong academic and behavioural records, committed to careers in Chinese-language teaching or international promotion of Chinese language, and meeting age and language proficiency requirements for their chosen programme.

Applicants must apply through a recommending institution (e.g., Confucius Institute, Confucius Classroom, or designated HSK test centre) and follow the intake-year procedures on http://cis.chinese.cn.
Documents
Required documents include completed application form, notarised highest diploma, academic transcripts, two recommendation letters, valid HSK/HSKK certificates matching the scholarship type, a study or teaching plan, and a copy of passport bio-page.
