CPU President Scholarship
China Pharmaceutical University’s President Scholarship is a partial tuition award for international bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students, launched in 2016. It covers specified annual tuition amounts but does not include accommodation, insurance, or living allowance. Chinese-language preparatory study is also eligible.

Overview
Launched in 2016, the CPU President Scholarship supports outstanding international students pursuing degree programmes or Chinese-language preparatory study at China Pharmaceutical University. It is a partial tuition scholarship; recipients are responsible for any remaining tuition fees. Students without sufficient Chinese proficiency must complete a one-year Chinese training programme and achieve HSK 5 before beginning their major studies.
Coverage
Bachelor’s (Chinese-taught): RMB 19,000 per year for up to 4 years. Bachelor’s (English-taught): RMB 20,000 per year for up to 4 years. Master’s: RMB 25,000 per year for up to 3 years. PhD: RMB 30,000 per year for up to 3 years. Chinese-language preparatory year: RMB 14,000 per year. The scholarship does not cover accommodation, insurance, living allowance, or other incidental costs.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Bachelor’s applicants must be high school graduates under 25 years old. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40. Chinese-taught programmes require HSK 5 or above; English-taught programmes require IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90 or above. Applicants must demonstrate competitive academic records and strong research ability.

Applications are submitted online via http://admission.cpu.edu.cn/apply. Programme details are listed at http://international.cpu.edu.cn. Master’s and doctoral applicants are encouraged to contact prospective supervisors and include recommendation letters from them. Funding is subject to annual review; failure may result in suspension or termination.

Required documents (submitted in duplicate): passport photocopy; notarised highest diploma and transcripts (plus enrolment or employment certificate if applicable); HSK, IELTS, or TOEFL report; study or research proposal (minimum 800 words); two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (for master’s and doctoral applicants); academic publications if available; Foreigner Physical Examination Form (valid for 6 months). Incomplete submissions will not be processed; documents are not returned.
