CUG's International Freshman Scholarship
China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) offers the CUG International Freshman Scholarship for international students entering bachelor’s programmes. Type A waives first-year tuition (CNY 22,000), and Type B waives first-year accommodation (CNY 8,400). Overview
Launched in 2016, the CUG International Freshman Scholarship supports outstanding international students enrolling in bachelor’s programmes at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). Programme duration is four years, requiring completion of all courses, credits, and thesis. Instruction is primarily in Chinese; Communication Engineering and Business Management may be taught in English.

Type A: full tuition waiver for the first year, valued at CNY 22,000 per student. Type B: full on-campus accommodation waiver for the first year, valued at CNY 8,400 per student.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens over 18 years old, in good health, holding a valid passport and senior high school diploma (or official expected-graduation letter). They must demonstrate positive study attitude and good academic standing, hold HSK level 4 or above, and not receive any other scholarship concurrently.

The application deadline for the listed cycle was 30 June 2017. Applicants must register on the CUG online platform at http://admission.cug.edu.cn/, upload required files, and send hard copies to the Admission Office of the International Education College. Admission decisions follow document review and telephone/video interviews in late July; JW202 forms are issued in August. Documents are not returned.
