Dalian Uniersity of Technology Liaoning Government Scholarship

The Liaoning Government Scholarship at Dalian University of Technology supports non-Chinese doctoral students with tuition and on-campus accommodation waivers, a monthly allowance of CNY 3,500, and insurance coverage per Chinese regulations. It is funded by the Liaoning Provincial Government and administered by Dalian University of Technology. Applicants must be under 40, hold a recognised Master’s degree, have strong academic records, provide two professor recommendations, and not hold any other Chinese government scholarship.

Coverage

• Full waiver of tuition fees • Full waiver of on-campus accommodation fees • Monthly allowance of CNY 3,500 for doctoral students • Medical insurance provided in accordance with relevant Chinese regulations • International travel expenses are not covered and must be borne by the student

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, under 40 years old, hold a Master’s degree recognised by China’s Ministry of Education, demonstrate excellent academic performance, submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, abide by Chinese laws and university regulations, and not concurrently receive any other Chinese government scholarship.

Application

Applications open from November to early March of the following year. Applicants must apply online to Dalian University of Technology’s School of International Education and mail two hard copies of all required documents during this period.

• Completed Liaoning Government Scholarship Application Form (provincial template), original and one copy • Notarised highest diploma and academic transcripts; if not in Chinese or English, certified translations are required • Proof of current enrolment or employment, if applicable • HSK certificate (as required by the enrolling college) or IELTS ≥ 5.5 / TOEFL ≥ 80 / other recognised English proficiency proof • Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test report • Study or research plan of at least 1,000 words • Two signed recommendation letters from professors or associate professors
