The Dean's Scholarship Program between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World supports doctoral students from developing countries studying at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Overview
This joint scholarship program aims to cultivate scientific talent from developing countries and enhance their capacity for technological innovation and regional development.
Coverage/Benefits
Tuition is fully covered. Living allowance is 7,000 RMB per month before passing the doctoral qualification examination and 8,000 RMB per month thereafter. Health insurance is included. One-time airfare subsidy is provided for the first trip from the home country to China. Visa fees for the first entry to China are also subsidised.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals born on or after 1 January 1983, from developing countries, holding or expecting a master’s degree by September, fluent in English or Chinese, and not currently enrolled in a doctoral program in China. They must commit to full-time study and return to their home country upon completion.

Applicants must secure acceptance from a supervisor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, then submit online applications via the CAS-TWAS fellowship portal and UCAS admission system.
