East China Normal University hosts Confucius Institute Scholarships funded by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation. Coverage

Living allowance is paid monthly by the host institution: RMB 2,500/month for BTCSOL, one-academic-year, and one-semester study; RMB 3,000/month for MTCSOL. Full-month payment applies only if enrolled on or before the 15th of the month; enrolment after the 15th yields half a month’s allowance. The final month of study receives half a month’s allowance upon confirmation of graduation status. Personal absence from China exceeding 15 days (excluding legal holidays) suspends the allowance. Comprehensive medical insurance is arranged by the host institution: RMB 100 for four weeks, RMB 400 for one semester, or RMB 800 per year for study longer than one year.
