East China University of Science and Technology Presidential Scholarship for Foreign Students

Established in 2016, this scholarship aims to attract outstanding foreign students to master’s and doctoral programs at East China University of Science and Technology. Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and generally be aged ≤40; master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and generally be aged ≤35. Applicants must not hold any other scholarship concurrently. Chinese language proficiency requires HSK Level 7 for Chinese-medium programs.

Application

Applications open annually from April 1 to May 15. Applicants must register and apply online via http://apply.ecust.edu.cn, selecting the 'ECUST Presidential Scholarship' program, and upload required documents. Original application materials must be mailed to the College of International Education.

Documents

Required documents include the ECUST International Student Application Form; passport copy; highest academic degree and graduation certificates (with notarized Chinese or English translations if needed); academic transcripts (with notarized translations); study or research plan in China (≥500 words in English); and two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors.
