Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Undergraduate applicants must be no older than 30 years old; master's applicants no older than 35; doctoral applicants no older than 40. Language requirements vary by degree and major: HSK 4 for science majors (undergraduate and master's), HSK 5 for liberal arts majors (undergraduate and master's), and HSK 4 or 5 for doctoral programmes depending on discipline. Chinese language undergraduates may be admitted at zero level.

Applications are accepted year-round via the online application system of the School of Overseas Education, Fujian Normal University.
Documents
Applicants must submit: the online application form for the Fujian Provincial Scholarship Program for Foreign Students; notarised proof of highest academic qualifications and transcripts; Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners; a study or research plan of at least 400 words; and, for art/music applicants, relevant works. Applicants under 18 must also submit legal guardian documents in China.
