Overview

Coverage/Benefits
The scholarship provides RMB 50,000 per year for doctoral students (including RMB 1,200 monthly living allowance), RMB 40,000 per year for master's students (RMB 1,000 monthly), and RMB 30,000 per year for undergraduate students (RMB 800 monthly). It covers tuition, accommodation, health insurance, and living allowance. Airfare and settlement allowance are not covered.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Undergraduate applicants must be no older than 30; master's applicants no older than 35; doctoral applicants no older than 40; advanced training applicants no older than 50. Applicants for degree programmes require HSK 5; HSK 6 or above is preferred. Language programme applicants do not require a Chinese language certificate.
Application
Applications are accepted annually from March 1 to May 15. Applicants must submit materials to the Office of Foreign Cooperation and Exchange, Fuzhou University.

Required documents include: Fuzhou University Scholarship Application Form; notarised highest education certificate and transcripts (with Chinese or English translation); Record of Physical Examination for Foreigners (for those studying in China over six months); study or training plan (400+ words for degree programmes, 800+ for training); two recommendation letters (for master's or doctoral applicants); and Chinese language proficiency certificate. Applicants under 18 must provide legal guardian documents in China.
