Coverage/Benefits
First-class undergraduate scholarships cover full tuition and provide a monthly living allowance of 1,000 RMB. First-class graduate scholarships cover full tuition, free accommodation, and monthly living allowances (1,300 RMB for master’s; 1,600 RMB for doctoral students). Exchange student awards vary by region and agreement. Accommodation, tuition, and living allowance are covered; airfare, health insurance, and settlement allowance are not.
Eligibility
Open to international students applying for bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programmes. Undergraduate applicants must rank in the top 20% of their high school, score ≥70% on national entrance exams, or have competition awards or cultural/sports distinctions. Graduate applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance, publications, research awards, or other distinctions. All applicants must meet HSK 4 requirements unless exempted.
Application
Applications open annually from 15 March to 15 June. Applicants must submit the HIT Freshman Scholarship Application Form alongside their admission application. Results are announced before 15 July.
