Harbin Institute of Technology Qingrui Scholarship for Foreign Students
The Harbin Institute of Technology Qingrui Scholarship is jointly funded by HIT and Daqing CNOOC Qingrui Petroleum Science and Technology Company Limited for non-Chinese undergraduate and master's students in English-medium programs. Overview
The Qingrui Scholarship is jointly established by Harbin Institute of Technology and Daqing CNOOC Qingrui Petroleum Science and Technology Company Limited to attract outstanding foreign students to English-medium undergraduate and master's programs. It is managed by HIT’s College of International Education.
Coverage/Benefits
First Class Scholarship: tuition and accommodation fees waived, plus living allowance (RMB 1,000/month for undergraduates; RMB 1,300/month for master's students). Second Class Scholarship: tuition and accommodation fees waived. Third Class Scholarship: tuition fee waiver. Airfare, health insurance, and settlement allowance are not covered.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, applying for undergraduate or master's programs taught in English, or Chinese-medium undergraduate students with strong academic performance. Master's applicants must demonstrate strong research ability. Language requirements: HSK Level 4 for Chinese-medium programs; TOEFL 90 or IELTS 5.5 for English-medium programs. Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarship simultaneously.
Application
Applications are accepted from April 1 to May 31 each year, with results announced on June 15. Fresh graduates and current HIT students apply via faculty review; external applicants submit directly to the College of International Education. Scholarship recipients must sign in monthly at the College of International Education between the 15th and 20th; failure to do so suspends that month’s payment.

Undergraduate applicants must submit: Qingrui Scholarship application form; notarized high school graduation certificate and transcripts; HSK-4 (for Chinese-medium) or TOEFL/IELTS (for English-medium); study program; passport copy. Master's applicants must also submit: notarized bachelor’s degree certificate and transcripts; study and research program in China; two letters of recommendation; TOEFL/IELTS transcript; passport copy.
