HIT Qingrui Scholarship for International Students
The Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Qingrui Scholarship is co-funded by HIT and Daqing Zhongyou Qingrui Petroleum Technology Co. Ltd. It supports non-Chinese bachelor’s and master’s applicants in English-medium programmes, and Chinese-medium bachelor’s applicants with strong academic backgrounds. Three classes offer varying combinations of tuition waiver, housing fee waiver, and monthly living allowances (1,000–1,300 CNY).

Overview
The HIT Qingrui Scholarship is managed by HIT’s College of International Education to support outstanding international students enrolling in English-medium bachelor’s and master’s programmes, and Chinese-medium bachelor’s programmes for those with strong academic backgrounds.
Coverage
First-class: full tuition waiver, full housing fee waiver, and monthly living allowance (1,000 CNY for bachelor’s, 1,300 CNY for master’s). Second-class: tuition and housing fee waivers only. Third-class: tuition waiver only. Duration: 4 years for bachelor’s (5 years for architecture), 2 years for master’s.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health, applying to eligible English-medium or specified Chinese-medium programmes at HIT, and must not hold any other scholarship concurrently.
Application
Applications open annually from 1 April to 30 May. Results are announced by 15 June. Current HIT students apply through their respective schools; new applicants submit materials directly to HIT’s College of International Education.

Completed Qingrui Scholarship application form, notarised highest diploma and academic transcripts, study or research plan, two recommendation letters (for master’s applicants), language proficiency proof (HSK Level 4 for Chinese-medium bachelor’s except literature programmes; TOEFL 90 or IELTS 5.5 for English-medium programmes), and a copy of the passport.
