Overview
Huazhong University of Science & Technology offers 25 President Scholarship seats for outstanding international students in 2-year English-medium non-medical master’s programmes. The scholarship has been available since 2012.
Coverage
Covers tuition fees only. Does not include accommodation, living stipend, or other expenses. Funding is renewed for a second year only if the recipient passes an annual appraisal conducted at the end of the second semester.
Eligibility
Applicants must apply for a 2-year English-medium non-medical master’s programme at HUST and demonstrate English proficiency. Continued funding requires passing the university’s annual appraisal.

Applications must be submitted online between 1 May and 30 June via http://admission.hust.edu.cn/. Select “I am applying for scholarship at HUST” during registration. Only soft copies are accepted; hard copies are not permitted.
Documents
Required documents: passport; highest diploma or degree certificate (or official Certificate of Enrollment if still studying); two recommendation letters from professors in the same academic field; English language proficiency certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be notarised in Chinese or English.
