LUT The Silk Road Scholarship of Gansu Province

Lanzhou University of Technology offers the Silk Road Scholarship of Gansu Province, funded by the Gansu Provincial Government. It provides tuition waivers and a monthly stipend to non-Chinese undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students enrolled at LUT. Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport, be in good health and conduct, and not hold any conflicting Chinese government or university-funded scholarship.

Overview

Coverage

Tuition waiver: CNY 5,000 per year for master’s and doctoral students; CNY 3,000 per year for undergraduate students. Stipend: CNY 1,200 per month for 10 months (total CNY 12,000 per academic year).

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport and good health. They must demonstrate strong academic performance and good conduct, comply with Chinese laws and LUT regulations, and provide HSK or other Chinese language certification unless enrolled in an English-taught programme. They must not hold any other Chinese government or university-funded scholarship that conflicts with this award.

Required documents include a valid passport, academic transcripts and diplomas, language proficiency certificates (HSK or equivalent if studying in Chinese), a study plan or research proposal, and two letters of recommendation.
