Eligibility
Open to non-Chinese citizens pursuing bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, or language programs. Age limit is ≤40 years old overall; specific limits are ≤28 (bachelor’s), ≤35 (master’s), ≤40 (doctoral). Language requirements: HSK 5 for Chinese-taught programs; IELTS ≥6.5 (graduate) or ≥6.0 (undergraduate), TOEFL ≥90 (graduate) or ≥80 (undergraduate) for English-taught programs.

Required documents include the completed scholarship application form, passport copy, notarised highest education certificate and transcripts (with Chinese/English translation), language proficiency proof (HSK/IELTS/TOEFL), study/research plan (≥800 words), two letters of recommendation, scholarly articles (if any), supervisor acceptance letter (recommended for graduate applicants), and completed Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
