Eligibility
Applicants must be applying for self-financed study at Nankai University. Eligible degree levels are bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral. Language requirements include HSK 4 for Chinese-medium programs, or IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 87 for English-medium programs.
Application
Applications are accepted from March 1 to June 15 each year. Applicants must submit materials to the International Students Office before the deadline and pass an interview to be eligible for the scholarship.
Documents
Required documents include the Nankai University International Student Application Form (self-financed option), proof of highest academic qualification, academic transcripts with notarized Chinese or English translations, a personal statement (300+ words), a letter of recommendation, language test results (HSK/IELTS/TOEFL), a completed Foreigner's Physical Examination Record, a passport copy, and proof of application fee payment (400 RMB or US$75).
