Overview
Nantong University (NTU) offers up to 50 scholarships annually to international students starting from 2015. The scholarship supports students with strong language proficiency and academic background in undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programmes.
Coverage
Undergraduate scholarship: 10,000 RMB per person per year. Master’s scholarship: full tuition waiver. Doctoral scholarship: full tuition and accommodation waiver, comprehensive medical insurance, and a monthly allowance of 3,000 RMB.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Undergraduate applicants must hold a high school diploma and be under 30. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40.

Applicants must apply online via NTU’s application portal at https://ntu.17gz.org/member/login.do and upload all required documents.

Required documents include: Online application form; notarised photocopy of highest diploma (or official proof of expected graduation for current students); academic transcripts (in Chinese or English; otherwise with notarised translation); study plan or research proposal (minimum 500 words, in Chinese or English); two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors (for postgraduate applicants).
