Overview

The programme supports non-Chinese doctoral students and Sino-foreign cooperative doctoral candidates conducting China-related research in humanities and social sciences. It includes academic training, seminars, mentorship, and post-graduation support.

Covers tuition, living expenses, and international travel expenses. Also provides research funding opportunities and access to academic resources. Does not cover accommodation or health insurance.

Eligibility

Open to non-Chinese nationals pursuing doctoral studies or enrolled as advanced candidates in a foreign university’s doctoral programme. Doctoral students require HSK 6 (≥210 points); advanced candidates require HSK 3 or above. Applicants must have a master’s degree or be fresh master’s graduates.

Application

Applicants submit materials to both the host university and the Language Cooperation Center (LCC). The process includes university preliminary review, LCC expert evaluation, and video interview. Acceptance letters are issued by the university.
