Eligibility
Open to non-Chinese citizens applying for or already enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programs at the university. Applicants must be self-financed, in good health, academically excellent, and not receiving other Chinese government or external scholarships. Current students must rank in the top 30% of their discipline and have no violations of Chinese law or university regulations. Language requirements include HSK 1, IELTS, or TOEFL.
Application
Applications are accepted from March 1 to June 30 each year. Applicants must submit a written application with two copies of required materials in Chinese or English.

Freshmen must submit: scholarship application form; proof of highest academic degree (with notarised Chinese/English translation if not in those languages); notarised transcripts; two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors; study plan in China; passport copy; research papers, awards, or supporting materials; and IELTS, TOEFL, or HSK certificate from the last two years. Current students must submit: application form; transcripts from Academic Affairs Office or Graduate School; faculty/tutor recommendation letter; 500-word self-recommendation letter; and research papers or awards from their period of study.
