Northeast Normal University Confucius Institute Scholarship
The Northeast Normal University Confucius Institute Scholarship is funded by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation. It supports non-Chinese citizens pursuing MTCSOL, BTCSOL, one-academic-year, one-semester, or four-week Chinese language study tracks. Northeast Normal University hosts Confucius Institute Scholarships for applicants committed to teaching or promoting Chinese language internationally, across degree and short-term study tracks.
Coverage
Covers tuition, accommodation, living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance. Specific allowances depend on programme length and level.
Eligibility
Non-Chinese citizens aged 16–35 as of 1 September 2018; in-service Chinese teachers may be up to 45 years old; undergraduate applicants must be no older than 25. Applicants must be in good physical and mental health with sound academic and behavioural records.
Application
Apply online at cis.chinese.cn. Select Northeast Normal University as host institution and a recommending institution. Results are notified by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation approximately two months before enrolment.
Documents
Required documents include a valid passport, HSK/HSKK test reports (within two years), highest diploma and transcript, and recommendation letters. In-service teachers must submit employment proof; under-18 applicants require documentation of a China-based guardian.
