Northwestern Polytechnical University established the “Wu Yajun” Scholarship for international students in the International College to recognise academic excellence, encourage diligent study, and foster a strong academic culture among international students.
Coverage
The scholarship is awarded as a one-time payment per academic year: first prize RMB 10,000, second prize RMB 8,000, third prize RMB 5,000.
Eligibility
Applicants must be full-time international undergraduates or graduates enrolled at Northwestern Polytechnical University for at least two years. They must have no course failures in the current academic year, meet elective credit requirements set by the Registrar’s Office and Graduate School, maintain excellent conduct with no disciplinary record, and demonstrate active participation in academic research, competitions, and peer support.

Applications open annually in September–October. Exact dates are published in the official university notification.

Applicants must submit: the Application and Approval Form for Special Scholarship for Students of Northwestern Polytechnical University; official transcript for the current academic year; copy of passport and valid Chinese visa; and an essay of at least 600 words on the ‘Spirit of Northwestern Polytechnical University’.
