President Scholarship of LUT

The Lanzhou University of Technology President Scholarship supports non-Chinese international students enrolled in degree programmes who are not recipients of the Chinese Government Scholarship. It offers Academic Outstanding awards (100% or 50% tuition waiver plus CNY 10,000/year stipend) and Individual awards (CNY 5,000). Recipients must pass an annual review.

Overview

The Lanzhou University of Technology (LUT) President Scholarship has two tracks: Academic Outstanding Scholarship and Individual Scholarship. It is open to international students who are not receiving the Chinese Government Scholarship.

Coverage

Academic Outstanding Scholarship: first prize covers 100% of annual tuition; second prize covers 50% of annual tuition; both include a stipend of CNY 10,000 per year (paid over 10 months). Individual Scholarship: CNY 5,000 per person. All recipients must undergo an annual review.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport and in good health. They must have good conduct and comply with Chinese laws and LUT regulations. Age limits: under 25 for bachelor’s, under 35 for master’s, under 40 for doctoral programmes. Applicants must not hold the Chinese Government Scholarship.

Required documents: Application Form for Studying at LUT; academic transcripts in Chinese or English; study plan or research proposal (under 500 words); two recommendation letters; original HSK certificate (for new students) or previous-year transcripts (for current students); original certificates or supporting documents for Individual Scholarship (e.g., academic, sports, arts, cultural exchange, or social activity achievements within the past year).
