Coverage/Benefits
First-class awards are RMB 10,000 for preparatory students; RMB 25,000 for undergraduates; RMB 30,000 for master's students; and RMB 35,000 for doctoral students. Second-class awards range from RMB 8,000 to RMB 20,000. Funding covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and medical and insurance fees.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, abide by Chinese laws and university regulations, have a positive attitude to study, good overall performance, and a certain level of Chinese language foundation. High school graduates may apply for undergraduate or "1+4" programmes; bachelor's degree holders for master's or "1+2" ("1+3") programmes; master's degree holders for doctoral programmes. Applicants must not have received any Chinese government scholarships.
Application
Applications are submitted to the International Students Office by 15 October each year. Required materials include the application form, highest degree diploma and transcripts, Chinese language grades, and other supporting documents.
