Scholarship for Outstanding New Students of ZUST
The Outstanding New Students Scholarship at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) supports newly enrolled international students with strong academic records and good health. It is funded by ZUST and covers 100%, 70%, or 50% of annual tuition. Applicants must apply before 30 May or 10 December each year.

Overview
This scholarship is for newly admitted international students beginning undergraduate or postgraduate study at Zhejiang University of Science and Technology.
Coverage
Three award levels: 100%, 70%, or 50% of annual tuition. The School of International Education announces the number of candidates for each level. For Chinese-language advanced-student quotas, approximately 2%, 4%, and 6% of students are selected for first, second, and third levels respectively.
Eligibility
Applicants must be international students in good health, enrolling at ZUST for the first time. They must provide official proof of highest education completed or current student status. Advanced Chinese language applicants must have studied for at least one year. Chinese-taught bachelor’s or master’s applicants require HSK 6 or above. English-taught applicants must submit IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, PET, or pass ZUST’s English Level Test. Recipients cannot hold the Outstanding Undergraduate, Outstanding Chinese Language Advanced Student, or Diligent Study scholarships concurrently.
Application
Submit application materials to the International Student Affairs Center (ISAC) before 30 May or 10 December each year. Late applications are not accepted. Candidates are publicly announced and re-evaluated at the end of the first term.

Completed Outstanding New Students Scholarship Application Form (in Chinese or English); official proof of highest education or current student status; notarised Chinese or English translations if original documents are in another language; and any further documents requested by ISAC.

- •Advanced Chinese language applicants: study period of no less than one year.
- •Chinese-taught bachelor or master applicants: HSK 6 certificate or above.
- •English-taught bachelor or master applicants: IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, or PET certificate, or pass the English Level Test organised by ZUST.
- •Outstanding New Students Scholarship winners cannot also hold Outstanding Undergraduate, Outstanding Chinese Language Advanced Student, or Diligent Study scholarships during the awarding term.
