These scholarships are for self-funded international undergraduate students in the English-taught Acupuncture and Moxibustion or Chinese-Western Medicine (Clinical Medicine) programmes. They are awarded annually and may be renewed for up to five years.
Coverage/Benefits
Covers tuition only. Category A (Acupuncture and Moxibustion): 12,000 RMB per year. Category B (Chinese-Western Medicine): 8,000 RMB per year. Accommodation, airfare, health insurance, living allowance, and settlement allowance are not covered.
Eligibility
Applicants must be self-funded international undergraduates in years one to five of the Acupuncture and Moxibustion or Chinese-Western Medicine programmes. First-year students may apply directly. Other years require completion of 100% of required course credits from the prior academic year. Recipients cannot hold Chinese Government Scholarships or Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarships concurrently.
Application
The International Students Office reviews eligibility at the start of each academic year and publicly displays the list of eligible students for at least three working days. Uncontested lists are confirmed by faculty and announced. Students must pay full tuition before scholarship disbursement. Awards are suspended during study leave and not reinstated retroactively.
