SCUT International Scholarship for Excellence
The South China University of Technology International Scholarship for Excellence offers tuition and registration fee exemptions for outstanding full-time international degree students. Funded by SCUT, it covers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programmes (excluding School of Medicine). Doctoral awardees also receive a monthly living allowance.

Overview
The International Scholarship for Excellence supports high-achieving international students entering full-time degree programmes at SCUT. Award levels depend on academic merit. Programmes in the School of Medicine are excluded.
Coverage
Full or partial exemption from tuition and registration fees for the standard duration of the degree programme. Doctoral full scholarship includes RMB 1,400 per month living allowance for three years. Applicants without required HSK scores may take a one-year Chinese language programme with tuition waived.
Eligibility
Applicants must be citizens of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and in good health. Bachelor’s applicants require a high school diploma; master’s applicants require a bachelor’s degree; doctoral applicants require a master’s degree.

Applications are submitted online via SCUT’s admissions portal at http://www.scut.edu.cn/apply. All required documents must be uploaded during submission.

Passport copy; highest academic diploma; notarised transcripts; study or research plan (minimum 500 words); two academic reference letters and supervisor pre-acceptance letter (for postgraduate applicants); thesis or paper abstracts (for PhD applicants); portfolio (for arts or music applicants); Foreigner Physical Examination Form; language certificate (HSK, TOEFL, or IELTS, as required by the programme).
