The Shanghai Academy of Political Science and Law Shanghai Municipal Government Scholarship is administered by Shanghai University of Political Science and Law for international undergraduate and master's students.

Coverage/Benefits

Full scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, health insurance, and living expenses: RMB 2,500/month for undergraduates and RMB 3,000/month for master's students. Partial scholarship covers tuition waiver and insurance premium waiver. Airfare and settlement allowance are not covered.

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, aged 18–30 for undergraduate and 18–45 for master's, with appropriate academic qualifications and HSK 4 or above.

Application

Application period runs from February 10 to June 30 annually. Applicants must apply via the 'Study in Shanghai' website, submit documents to [email protected], and send paper materials to the School of International Exchange.

Documents

Required documents include a completed international student application form; certificate and transcript of highest academic qualification (notarised if not in Chinese or English); health examination certificate; research plan (for master's applicants); HSK 4 certificate; passport information page; eight passport-sized photographs; two letters of recommendation (for master's applicants); and, for students already in China, proof of current enrolment and residence permit.
