Shanghai University of Political Science and Law administers the Shanghai Government Scholarship on behalf of the Shanghai Municipal Government to support international students pursuing degree or non-degree studies.
Coverage
Full scholarship covers: tuition fees, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance, and living expenses. Partial scholarship covers: tuition fees and comprehensive medical insurance. Living expense stipends: • Undergraduate students: CNY 2,500 per month • Master’s and general visiting students: CNY 3,000 per month
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, meet age and academic qualifications for their intended level, and comply with PRC laws and SHUPL admission requirements.
Application
Applications open annually from 10 February to 30 June. Applicants must submit both SHUPL’s International Student Admission Application Form and all required scholarship documents by the deadline.

Required documents include: completed SHUPL International Students Admission Application Form; highest academic certificate (or current enrolment certificate); notarised copies where applicable; and any additional items listed in SHUPL’s annual scholarship checklist.
