Overview
This scholarship is established to support self-financed international students at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) who demonstrate both excellent academic performance and good character. It is open to new and continuing undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students.
Coverage/Benefits
The scholarship has three tiers: First Prize is RMB 30,000 per person for doctoral students; Second Prize is RMB 20,000 per person for doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate students; Third Prize is RMB 5,000 per person for doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate students.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals enrolled in SISU’s undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral programs. They must be self-financed, abide by Chinese laws and university regulations, maintain good academic performance and attendance, and actively participate in university- and Shanghai-area public welfare and social practice activities. They must not receive any other scholarship in the same year.
Application
Applications open in October annually. Applicants must submit required documents to the International Students Office.

Required documents include the SISU International Student Scholarship Application Form, transcripts from the previous academic year, and a copy of the passport.
