Shanghai Jiao Tong University Scholarship

Shanghai Jiao Tong University offers its own SJTU Scholarship in three classes for international students admitted to degree programmes. First-Class covers full tuition, a monthly living allowance of CNY 2,500, accommodation subsidy, and insurance for up to four years. Second-Class covers full tuition (or 50% tuition in one listed scheme), a monthly accommodation subsidy of CNY 1,000, and insurance. Third-Class covers only the CNY 1,000/month accommodation subsidy and insurance. Applicants must be officially admitted and may not hold other scholarships concurrently.

Coverage

Eligibility

Applicants must be officially admitted to an SJTU degree programme and may not hold any other scholarship concurrently. Selection is based on academic merit and interview performance. Results are announced alongside admission decisions.

Application

For the Chinese Government Scholarship, applicants must apply via their local Chinese embassy or consulate and list Shanghai Jiao Tong University as first choice. For SJTU Scholarships, applicants must select ‘Apply for scholarship’ in the online application system.
