Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health. Bachelor's applicants must have a high school diploma and be ≤25 years old; master's applicants must have a bachelor's degree and be ≤35 years old; doctoral applicants must have a master's degree and be ≤40 years old. Language program applicants must meet HSK 5 (for Chinese-medium programs) or IELTS/TOEFL (for English-medium programs).

Application

Applications are accepted from April 1 to May 15. Applicants must first apply online via www.study-shanghai.org (institution code 10269), then submit paper materials including application form, notarised academic certificates and transcripts, study plan (≥1,000 words), language proficiency certificate, recommendation letters (for master's/doctoral), portfolio (if applicable), health certificate, and an 800 RMB application fee.
