Overview
The Shanghai Institute of Physical Education Presidential Scholarship was established in 2018 to attract international students with strong language skills and professional backgrounds. It offers up to 85 scholarships per year across undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.
Coverage/Benefits
Full scholarships cover tuition, accommodation, living expenses, and insurance. Partial scholarships are divided into two categories: Partial A covers tuition and accommodation; Partial B covers tuition only. Airfare and settlement allowance are not covered.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health, holding the required prior qualifications for their chosen programme. Age limits are ≤25 years for undergraduate, ≤30 years for master’s, and ≤35 years for doctoral applicants. Undergraduate applicants are restricted to the Chinese International Education (Chinese for Sports Business) programme.

Applications are accepted from 1 January to 30 June each year. Applicants must apply online via http://cice.sus.edu.cn or by email or phone.
Documents
Required documents include: completed application form with photo; valid passport copy; diploma and degree certificates (with notarised Chinese or English translations if needed); transcripts (with notarised translations if needed); proof of Chinese or English language proficiency; CV in English; two recommendation letters from associate professors or above; and a 500 RMB application fee.
