SILK ROAD SCHOLARSHIP OF CHONGQING NORMAL UNIVERSITY
The Chongqing Normal University Silk Road Scholarship supports new and continuing international students from Belt and Road countries enrolled in degree or Chinese language programmes. It offers two tiers: first class provides full one-year tuition waiver (20 places), second class provides 50% one-year tuition waiver (30 places). Accommodation, living, and textbook costs are not covered.

Overview
The Silk Road Scholarship has two classes for international students from Belt and Road countries studying full-time degree or Chinese language programmes at Chongqing Normal University.
Coverage
First class: full tuition waiver for one academic year (14 degree + 6 language places). Second class: 50% tuition waiver for one academic year (21 degree + 9 language places). Tuition is charged per the university’s standard overseas student fee schedule. Excludes accommodation, living expenses, and textbooks.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health and law-abiding. Bachelor’s applicants must be under 25; master’s applicants under 35. Current CQNU students must maintain ≥95% attendance, participate actively in campus activities, and have no disciplinary violations. Holders of Chinese Government Scholarships are ineligible.
Application
Applications accepted from 10 to 20 April; review period is 11–20 May; results announced 21–30 May. The scholarship has been effective since March 2018.

Completed application form; highest diploma or proof of current study; academic transcripts; study plan; two recommendation letters; physical examination form (for new applicants); valid passport; no-criminal-record certificate; bank deposit certificate showing ≥25,000 RMB in local currency.
