Soochow University Scholarship for International Students

The Soochow University Scholarship for International Students is funded by the China Scholarship Council and administered by Soochow University. It supports non-Chinese Master’s and PhD students with tuition coverage, free campus accommodation, a monthly stipend, and medical insurance. Stipends are CNY 3,000 per month for Master’s and CNY 3,500 per month for PhD students.

Eligibility

  • Master’s applicants must be aged 35 or under; PhD applicants must be aged 40 or under.
  • Chinese-taught programmes: HSK Level 5 with score ≥ 180.
  • English-taught programmes: meet Soochow University’s English proficiency requirements (e.g., TOEFL ≥ 80, IELTS ≥ 6.0, or equivalent).
