The Southeast University Jasmine Study Abroad Jiangsu Government Scholarship is a provincial government scholarship for international students pursuing bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees. Overview
The Southeast University Jasmine Study Abroad Jiangsu Government Scholarship is administered by the Jiangsu Provincial Government and offered through Southeast University in Nanjing. It supports international students enrolled in full-time bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programmes.
Coverage/Benefits
Full scholarships cover: registration fee, tuition fee, laboratory fee, internship fee, basic textbook fee; free on-campus accommodation or a subsidy of ¥10,000 per year; a basic living expense subsidy of ¥1,500 per month; and comprehensive medical insurance for international students. Partial scholarships are also available: ¥20,000 for specialised students, ¥30,000 for undergraduate/graduate students, and ¥2,000/month for further training/exchange students (3–12 months).
Eligibility
Applicants must be foreign nationals complying with Chinese laws and university enrolment requirements. Age limits are generally ≤30 years for undergraduate, ≤35 for master’s, and ≤40 for doctoral applicants. Applicants must not have received other Chinese government or organisational scholarships.
Application
Applications are accepted annually from 1 April to 30 June. Applicants must register at www.studyinjiangsu.org, complete the online application form, upload required documents, print and sign the form, then mail it with supporting materials to the Jasmine Study Abroad Jiangsu Government Scholarship Evaluation Committee Office.
Documents
Required documents include: a photocopy of the passport; notarised highest academic qualification/degree certificate (with notarised Chinese or English translation if not in those languages); academic transcripts (with notarised Chinese or English translation if needed); two letters of recommendation for master’s and doctoral applicants (in Chinese or English, signed by professors or associate professors); and other application materials as specified.
