Category A covers tuition, monthly living allowance (1,100 RMB for undergraduates, 1,400 RMB for master's, 1,700 RMB for doctoral students), and comprehensive medical insurance. Category B covers tuition only. Short-term study tour recipients receive full coverage of tuition, accommodation, medical insurance, cultural tour fees, and living expenses.
Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, and from Belt and Road countries. Age limits are under 30 for undergraduate, under 35 for master's, and under 40 for doctoral applicants. Language requirements: HSK Level 4 (180+) for Chinese-taught programmes; IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80+ for English-taught programmes. Applicants must not hold other Chinese government or university scholarships.

Applicants may apply via traditional mail or online through the Southwest University admissions portal. The application deadline is subject to notice from the International College.

Required documents include the scholarship application form, highest education certificate with notarised English/Chinese translation, academic transcripts with translation, study/research plan (≥800 words), two recommendation letters (for master's/doctoral), language proficiency certificates, physical examination record, passport copy, and two passport photos.
