Eligibility
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding valid foreign passports, in good health, and under 40 years old. They must hold a recognised undergraduate degree. Language requirements: HSK level 4 (score ≥180) for Chinese-taught programmes; TOEFL ≥80 or IELTS ≥6.0 for English-taught programmes, or pass Tianjin University’s own language test.
Application
Applications must be submitted to the Office of Admission of Foreign Students at Tianjin University before the end of June each year. The list of admitted students is announced at the end of July.

Required documents include: (1) Application Forms for Admission and Scholarship (in Chinese or English, with photos); (2) Notarised highest academic qualification certificate or expected graduation certificate; (3) Academic transcripts with notarised Chinese/English translations; (4) Passport copy; (5) Language proficiency certificate; (6) Certificate of no criminal record; (7) Study and Research Plan (≥800 words in Chinese or English); (8) Two recommendation letters from associate professors or above.
